Daniele told us most of his bike tours started in the cool of the late afternoon/early evening. We (Mad Dogs and Englishmen, etc) requested a 9.00 am start. Daniele indulged us and took us on a 3 hour bike ride through Olive Groves to a Masseria and on to a megalithic site. His commentary throughout the ride was very informative and interesting. He is very knowledgeable and his concern for the environment is obvious. This is a great way to get under the skin of Puglia away from the beaches, Trulli and churches.
He also made an appointment for us to visit Masseria Brancati and the olive oil museum in the afternoon which we also recommend.
